From AW Tozer:
*I belong to a body of plain people who believe the truth revealed in the Bible.
*The conscious Union of the believer’s heart with Jesus must be felt and experienced.
*Faith is a rare and wonderful plant that lives and grows only in the penitent soul.
*The Earth is the dressing room where “the bride” outfits themselves for heaven.
*I do not believe that all professed believers are automatically ready to meet the Lord.
*Paul says that faith in the LORD Jesus plus confession of that Faith to the world brings salvation to us.
*John: Jesus teaches us that no one can come of himself, he must be drawn by the Father. A work of prevenient grace.
*Jesus asked the man at the pool of Siloam “do you want to be made whole?”
*Seek the favor of God while it is possible to find it… In complete and voluntary obedience.
*God’s highest desire is that every one of his believing children should so love & adore him that we are continually in his presence, in spirit and in truth.
*In earlier days, Christian men conceded this world to be a battleground. For that man it was either life or death, heaven or hell. It still is.
*I believe that the reverential fear of God, mixed with love, fascination, astonishment and adoration, is the most enjoyable state & purifying emotion the human soul can know.
*Preachers should faithfully tell people what it actually means to receive Christ and obey Him and live for Him, before they have to stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
*Even small churches can be a large beacon.
*Christian should be living in the power of God’s spirit, and so reproducing The Life of Christ in the sight of men. In deep humility and without ostentation. The most effective argument for Christianity is in the good lives of those who profess it.
*The mystery of man’s free will is far too great for us. God said to Adam and Eve “thou shalt not eat…” It was a divine requirement calling for obedience. It requires us to make our will the will of God.
*Ephesians 3:19 says “that you might be filled with all the fullness of God”. Apparently we are not fully filled at the moment of salvation.
*Psalms 40:8 says “I delight to do thy will.” But today, many Christians are not really comfortable with the Holy attributes of God. However, the basic moral principles of the ten commandments still reflect His will. We should desire to please Him.
*Our journey starts with accepting Lordship and salvation. It continues with obedience, commitment and submission.
*In presenting Christ, if we do not get through to the soul of truth (life eternal), we have only a dead body on our hands.
*What must I do to be saved? +Accept the truth about yourself. +Seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness. +Accept Jesus as Lord and confess it openly. +Maintain a right relationship with your fellow man. +Take up your cross daily and learn of Jesus.
*A world of confusion results from trying to believe without obeying. It was disobedience that brought the ruin of the human race. A mere passive surrender may be no surrender at all.
