Summoned By Jesus

While there are many things that men need to consider in being an obedient, submissive-but-strong, and righteous servant of our Lord, I submit to you the following list that I found among my wife Renee’s things after her passing:

ROLE OF MEN IN MARRIAGE

1. Leader of the home – 1st to the home, not just out leading everyone else.
2. Spiritual man – one who is in “the Word”, has a prayer life, is hungry for God, is teachable, and is a worshipper.
3. Has a ministry that compliments his wife, so they can share together.
4. A good father.
5. Emotionally whole. Feels free to share his emotions.
6. Able to be intimate – emotionally, spiritually, and physically.
7. Considerate, kind and gentle.
8. A good friend, a partner.
9. Desires his wife and wants to be with her.
10. Recognizes, values and appreciates his wife’s heart, her role as a wife, mother and homemaker.
