(The fabric of these messages has been woven into my spiritual life for the last 35 years through many sources: the Bible; teachers; authors; books; pastors; and others. Here are a few: AW Tozer; Francis Frangipane; Tony Evans; Bill Johnson; Dutch Sheets; Alex and Stephen Kendrick; Lee Strobel; John Bevere; and many more. But it has been the prompting of the Holy Spirit that has led me to make these posts. Plus, I have had the honor, privilege and trust of being a Bible teacher for the past 8 years. Plus many other years of leading Bible study groups.)
It is undeniable that time and space exist and are eternal, never ending. Though we do not understand it, we know it exists. Which begs common sense questions: Why? Why are we here? Why am I here? Where am I going? Is there any greater meaning or purpose to life?
Which then leads to the question: is there a God or does God exist? By extension, we have to say “I may not understand it, but perhaps…yes.” That leads to seeking truth and, if God is real, seeking Him.
Well, the Bible says that He is real. The Bible has 66 separate books, written over 1500 years by over 40 different authors with a constant theme and constant purpose. It claims to be the inspired word of God. It is the most proven historical document known to man. (Meaning that if other historical figures were real and believable, so is God.)
The Bible says: “In the beginning God…”(Gen 1:1) From which & whom we get eternity and all things. The Bible also says that God is love (1John4:16); that He put eternity in our hearts (Ecc3:11); that we were made by Him & for Him (Col 1:16); that we are created in His image for eternal life (Gen 1:27)…Great Hope for all mankind! Great Truth waiting to be revealed! <If you are seeking more biblical truth and need/want some clear and simple guidance, I recommend a good Bible app called Through the Word! https://app.throughtheword.org/ttw-introduction-plan>
The Bible also says there was evil in the world. Satan (Gen 3:1). Who tempts us to be disobedient to God & separates us from God’s plans for eternal life with Him. But God sent His son Jesus Christ (John 3:16), so that all could be saved (Rom 10:9) and restored unto eternal life.
The Bible further says that belief in God comes through faith and faith through the word of God (Rom 10:17). And that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Heb 11:1).
Additionally, the Bible says “you will find Me when you search for Me with all your heart” Jer 29:13. And “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you” James 4:8.
So let us start with these truths and move on to circumstances of today…
