Summoned By Jesus

What is Lordship? Is it not complete submission to our Lord and Savior? Today I would like to honor my wife Renee. A saint and a spiritual treasure. In some tearful and grieving moments today, I thought of ‘the word’ that the Lord was crafting in her before she passed away, about ‘the fellowship of His sufferings’, Phil 3:10. Not a word that you hear of too often in our church circles and not a concept that most people (want to) embrace. Jesus said, ‘take up your cross and follow me’, Matt 16:24. He was going to his death.

In the last months of her life, Renee was also going to her death. Still, she was submitted to whatever the Lord wanted in her life. She spoke into the lives of the many friends and family who came to see her… and prayed for them all…including our pastor who came to pray for her. During her last month’s, while worshiping and pressing into God, she came across a song that exemplified her love and commitment to the Lord. It’s called “New Wine”. I pray that it will bless you.
