Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Wes Knadle. This is my first post.  It happens to be passion week (Easter) 2023. The blog has been started at the urging of others… because of a “call to go and a ‘word’ from the Lord” to me (Eph 3:8). The center of this ‘call’ is a message for men. All men…but mostly men who identify as Christian. A challenging and hard message needed for such a time as this.

I’m 75. Perhaps a little old to be setting out on a journey to an unknown destination, with a message still not fully refined, but it is what the Lord has led me into.

You might say the journey began 35 years ago, after the failure of my first marriage. An event that broke me, but brought me to a place where I would choose to receive Jesus as my Lord & Savior. In those early days, the Lord led me to several scriptures that would play out over the rest of my life.

(Although, of a truth, our journeys all begin before our creation…Jer 1:5 “Before I formed you in your mother’s womb I knew you. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the Nations.” We ALL have been made in the image of God and for the purpose of eternal relationship with Him <Ecc 3:11>. He knows all things from the beginning. He chose us for a mortal existence and has fashioned us. He sets us on our journey of finite life and gives us free will choices. But He knows, HE KNOWS, what our choices will be before we make them. There is a wonderful, eternal purpose and destiny for each one of us. But He allows us to go down through life’s twists and turns, bumps and bruises, trials and blessings as He prepares us to be His bride. Often times with the most unique and interesting twists and turns. Just for us. Just for our growth and development. Just to draw us near. Ready to reveal Himself to us as we make the most important decision of our lives.)

The first scripture He led me to was about being ‘priest of the home’, 1 Cor 11; Eph 5:22-33. And in short order, He led me to a message about “stewarding” those things He has called us to, Eph 3. But the realization and fulfillment of those messages was not to become clear and fruitful for 35 years.

Little did I know it, but the worldly part of this journey was being crafted, fashioned and refined through the prayers, faithfulness and perseverance of two saints: my mother and my 2nd wife, Renee.

Mom was an outgoing international evangelist. She passed away in December 2011.

My wife Renee was a quiet and soft-spoken introvert but a woman of deep character. She passed away in December 2021.

They both loved the Word of God and the Lord deeply.

(More to come…)
